Dr. Taylor Garcia

Technical Nutrition Manager

We are excited to welcome Dr. Taylor Garcia to the Westway’s Technical Nutrition Team.  Dr. Garcia will be supporting the South, Southeast and Northeast cattle teams and their businesses.  He will be based in the South Region in Oklahoma.  He graduated this past spring from Oklahoma State University with his PhD in Grazing Management and Ruminant Nutrition.  Dr. Garcia is married to Dr. Carly Garcia. They have a son, Rydr, and they are expecting their second son on December 7th, 2023.

Dr. Garcia brings a lifetime of cattle experience to Westway.  He grew up in the business selling cattle with his grandfather.  He gained valuable experience in livestock clinical health at Texas A&M while working in the Large Animal clinic while obtaining his bachelor’s degree.   He continued to develop his knowledge in sustainable livestock systems at Tarleton State University.  Dr. Garcia completed his doctorate degree program at Oklahoma State while also managing the OSU Bluestem Research Range and the OSU Wheat Pasture Stocker units as the Senior Herd Manager.  Dr. Garcia has a strong base knowledge of nutrition, grazing and the cattle business and is excited to learn the liquid feed business.  He brings to Westway a unique set of skills and practical experience that will make Westway even more successful.
